There were a crazy amount of choices and truthfully, I didn’t know where to start. Now, here we are in 2023 and the wedding world has exploded. There are more choices than ever before. The Orrmont Estate
“The Orrmont Estate is a historic estate in Piqua, Ohio, built by the Orr family about 1890-1900. The grounds have multiple outdoor ceremony options and even more picture opportunities! The beautiful property includes a bridal suite and the spring house for the guys to change and hang out. The new Clubhouse was added last year, replacing the tent that was previously used over the years. The new Clubhouse has a beautiful indoor space perfect for receptions and even indoor ceremonies! The Clubhouse is lined with garage doors to let in natural light and gives an open sight line to the property. We specialize in weddings but the Estate is perfect for all events year round!”
The Round Barn Venue
“The Round Barn is a historic octagon barn in Piqua, Ohio. It was built around 1880 and is listed on Ohio’s inventory of historic barns. It is an open span, which means no posts or lofts to get in your way! The Round Barn is heated and cooled and can seat up to 300 comfortably for any kind of event. The addition built onto the barn includes a bridal suite and a groom, restrooms, catering space and a bar. The outdoor ceremony location is right next to the barn and has a patio perfect for cocktail hour or games! The barn is a unique, rustic barn venue perfect for all events!”

“Hello! My name is Kelly Keyes and I am the owner of The Fleurist, a central-Ohio-based floral design company specializing in weddings and special events. While I’ve been interested and practicing my floral design skills for quite some time, I decided to take it seriously shortly after my wedding.
When I was planning my wedding, I was trying to keep the costs affordable (even though I already had the skill!), so I decided to go with faux flowers. About 45 minutes prior to my ceremony, I was getting pictures with my bridesmaids when my bouquet just… collapsed. Piece by piece, each faux flower fell out and there was no way of putting it back together again. I was DEVASTATED, Luckily, my dad had enough time to run to Kroger and pick up a bouquet of all white roses. So yes, I walked down the aisle with grocery store roses (I still can’t believe it!). But afterwards, I realized that this experience was a blessing in disguise because I was able to preserve my real bouquet and hang it on our wall. It also pushed me to open my floral design business so that other brides can avoid the wedding day emergency that I had and turn their florals into a keepsake!
